new friends!
i met steve and dottie through my love, ryan. they are his dear friends and i can totally see why! i met steve about a month ago, and then recently got to meet his sweet wife. of course i asked to take their pictures while they were in galveston, and here are some of my faves!
while we were on the strand, we saw this. i thought it was a pretty poignant moment as we realized how high the water was during ike. steve is a pretty tall dude, and its clearly over his head.
it really was a pleasure to hang out with them both!
im excited that they are part of my life now!

i had the opportunity recently to take some pictures for a friend of mine, who also happens to be a lawyer. he and his firm are working on a website to help people set up their wills (you should check it out, here...http://www.wildwestwills.com/)
so as part of this favor, i got to walk around downtown one afternoon, and take 'cool, artsy' pics of whatever i wanted...things that looked legal. i saw this:
and thought, yes.
i just thought it was interesting that the letters are placed so that the person INSIDE the office sees 'lawyer'. those walking by see 'reywal'. just in case you forget what you do. you are a lawyer.
seriously, it was a cool experience and i loved the opportunity!
